Ammar articled with Stewart Sharma Harsanyi and was called to the bar in Alberta in 2023. Ammar practices in all areas of Immigration and Family Law. Ammar attended law school at the University of Leicester in the UK, where he was actively involved in his law school’s student legal guidance and pro bono initiatives as well as serving as an executive at his law school’s the Canadian Law Society. Ammar then furthered his legal education at the University of British Columbia’s Peter A. Allard School of Law.

Ammar’s practice primarily focuses on immigration law, with expertise in various immigration applications, including those related to temporary resident status, permanent residency and citizenship. He also has an extensive refugee law practice and is deeply committed to assisting claimants in their journey to settle and thrive in Canada.

Ammar is able to assist clients in Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and is conversational in French.

Outside of his legal work, Ammar enjoys playing sports and is an avid supporter of Arsenal Football Club and the Montreal Canadiens.
